A DEAD PLANET, A FORSAKEN KNIGHT AND A GROUP OF STRANDED SPACEFARERS Earth is dead, once radiant with heroes and villains, gods and monsters, myth and magic. Then the Horror from Beyond fell upon it, a baleful thing of void-born malice. Now ghouls prowl the blasted wastes and decaying ruins, seeking their absent master. The Knight Errant alone defied that cosmic pestilence. He shackled the Horror within his own flesh, becoming both prison and prisoner. Centuries later he endures, frozen in his sanctum, a sentinel damned to eternity. Far across the gulfs of space, the scattered progeny of Earth raised civilizations of metal and science, trading magic for machines. Yet the old world lingers in legend, attracting spacefarers and outcasts. But a few, burdened by mischance, are cast down upon this necrotic sphere, stranded in the shadow of forgotten ruin, where only peril promises reward. Winner of the 2025 Appx. “By the grace of Solis, all shall be welcome” “By the will of Solis, all shall be equal” “By the hand of Solis, all shall be safe” “And so the night shall not consume us” Promises made and promises broken, words that spelled the death of an entire civilization. Abducted from the surface and trapped below, a world bent to the maniacal will of the Sun-King. For half a millennia, this world remained sealed until now. What slithers and lurks in the dark after such a time? Ave Nox is a system-neutral mega-dungeon of forgotten history and disaster buried deep in the dark of the earth. Players take on the role of sanctified archeologists, opportunistic delvers, or despised grave-robbers, all converging on a massive newly unearthed ruin. What starts as a curiosity turns into a grand expedition as the ruin reveals itself to be a subterranean megastructure, complete with ancient technology, strange treasures, and still-living agents of the Sun-King… Cunning and curious adventurers may overcome the dangers and unravel the mysteries of this place, yet a greater peril awaits in the farthest depths. Deep in the dark, the Sun-King plots his apocalyptic return, one that will bury the world above in a tidal wave of fire and darkness.
Welcome to Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne, a single player dungeon crawler set in an endless necropolis. With the tools presented in the book you’ll tell the story of your character who, after miraculously surviving an execution, wakes up to realize that their problems have just begun, and that there are fates worse than death. When you sit down to play Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne, you, the player, take on the role of a single character. Your PC is your avatar in the dark tunnels of the necropolis, and your decisions (and luck!) will determine their fate. Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne uses a simple D100 ruleset to resolve all tasks. Whenever a PC tries to do something and the result isn’t evident, or there is something at stake, you will need to perform a check. This is done by rolling D100, and comparing the result to the corresponding skill on the character’s sheet. If the result is equal or lower than the skill’s score, the check is a success. Combat is a big part of what makes Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne unique: characters need to manage their resources while being smart about their choice of powers used. The opposed combat check makes combat unpredictable and will require your constant attention, as you evaluate the different options that will open to you depending on your luck and actions.

Here’s the first official module for FLAIL. It’s leans into the “puzzle-trap dungeon” vibes. A paranoid gnome inventor, Master Gnorbitt, designed his own tomb so that only someone worthy could break it and claim his ultimate prize. Once you read the game, you’ll understand that this is how i’m structuring adventures at this point. Minimal design, very low-prep, a “grab-and-go” sort of experience. I end up always taking about 2-3 hours to play these things anyway, so this is all i need for a good session of play.
An ancient Snake King obsessed with immortality was killed by his own priests, dismembered and stuffed into a jar. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the final step of the ritual. Now his soul sits patiently inside his own oubliette, waiting for someone foolish enough to give him a new body. That is, of course, where your players come in :D
FLAIL is a fast, scrappy OSR brawler where spells act up, weapons fall apart, and characters survive mostly through nerve, luck, or whatever they grabbed on the way in. Hit points are low, danger stays high, and plans rarely make it past the second roll. It’s classic fantasy chaos with a slightly unhinged grin. Created by Andre Novoa, FLAIL is developed and published by Games Omnivorous. Uses a tactile item-and-gear system that makes inventory management actually interesting, and a push-your-luck combat system that feels like a game of dice poker. Quick to learn, quicker to implode, ideal for hexcrawls, dungeons, and players who enjoy seeing what goes wrong first. “He tried to bless us, and the God showed up to ask why.” – player
