TWENTY YEARS AGO…

The island city-state Lanteii (Lawn-tay) flourished under the unforgiving reign of its sorcerer-king Malachar, the Ruthless. Driven by volcano-oceanic steam power and pitiless slave labor, technological and cultural advancement crescendoed until an eruption of the domesticated volcano shredded the Eastern half of the island, submerging it and killing thousands.

Some of you are here for the reward of sapphires, some to save a princess (and the favor of the Queen that comes with it), and some to plunder the mysteries of Malachar’s volcano-mechanical laboratories.
